Jane
Hall, Ph.D., Advisory Board Member, is an
internationally recognized expert on the economics
of regulation and the environment. She has published
more than 60 governmental and agency reports,
journal articles and book chapters on a broad range
of topics, including national economic policy, the
Asian economic crisis, and the economic costs of
pollution. Her research resulted in a book, Air
Pollution and Regional Economic Performance: A Case
Study (1997, JAI Press). She has made presentations
throughout the United States and in such countries
as Australia, Thailand, and Belgium.
She is Professor of
Economics at California State University, Fullerton
and Co-Director of the Institute for Economic and
Environmental Studies. She has also served as the
Acting Dean of the College of Business and
Economics. She was named Cal State Fullerton’s
Outstanding Professor for 2000-01 and was honored
with a California State University Wang Family
Excellence Award in May 2001. She has also been a
leader in campus governance, serving two years as
the Chair of the University’s Academic Senate. Her
Ph.D. in Energy and Resources is from the University
of California at Berkeley.
Dr. Hall serves on

Environmental
Protection Agency
panels and
committees including
the Economics and
Assessment Workgroup
of the Children’s
Health Protection
Advisory Committee,
the Science Advisory
Board Council on
Clean Air Compliance
Analysis, and the
Health and
Ecological Effects
Subcommittee. She is
also a member of
several statewide
committees including
the California Air
Resources Board’s
Innovative Clean Air
Technologies
Advisory Committee
and was vice
chairwoman of the
South Coast Air
Quality Management
Advisory Council for
nine years. She is
also on the National
Academy of Sciences
Committee on Air
Quality Management
and the Scientific
Advisory Committee
for the Southern
California Center
for Airborne
Particulate Matter.
She has consulted
for a number of
Fortune 500
companies.
